God Is At Work

   

 "If you stand still you'll fall behind." 

That statement is from the career page of the Winnipeg Free Press. 

    President Clinton, in a speech, made an even more sobering statement:
   

     "If you're not getting better, 

chances are you are getting worse."

He was referring to his spirituality which he described as "a work in progress."

    But we need not despair if we truly put our trust in God, as Paul says in Philippians 2 verse 13: "For God is at work in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure." RSV.

    We must do our part by examining ourselves to see if we are in the faith; as Paul admonishes us in 2 Corinthians 13 verse 5.
