Thanks

The apostle Paul said: "I have learned in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content." Philippians 4:11 “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God that passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Philippians 4:6, 7.

Let us practice an attitude of gratitude. The secret of contentment is knowing how to enjoy what you have.

He enjoys much who is thankful for little.

“Happy is that people whose God is the Lord.” Psalms 144:15

Love

Just think of the stars God made and you think of beauty,
Just think of the sun He made and you think of warmth,
Just think of the buds He made on the trees and you think of life.
Just think of Mother’s and you think of all thee beauty, warmth and new life.

The love and devotion I gave to my child,
I thought I could give to no other,
But life held a lovely surprise for me
the day I became a Grandmother.

Lois & Eunice Timothy's mother and grandmother were Godly women bringing him up in the most unfeigned faith and the scriptures show how much this great love showed in Timothy's later life. 2 Timothy 1:5

The language of love is understood by all.

Fatigue

We are all familiar with fatigue, a condition that besets us from time to time. Sufficient rest is usually the cure.

There is also a spiritual fatigue that needs correcting. Isaiah 40:31 says: “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. For though the outward man perish and becomes fatigued the inward man is renewed day by
day.”

2 Cor. 4:16 says: “Fear not; for I am with thee: I am thy God: I will strengthen thee.”

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must but don't you quit...
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst, that you must not quit.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me.

Philippians 4:13.

IN GOD'S OWN TIME

"The late Dr. J. H. Jowett said that he was once in a most pitiful perplexity, and consulted Dr. Berry of Wolverhampton.

"What would you do if you were in my place?" he entreated.
"I don't know, Jowett, I am not there, and you are not there yet. When have you to act?"
"On Friday." Dr. Jowett replied.
"Then," answered Berry, "you will find your way perfectly clear on Friday. the Lord will not fail you." And, surely enough, on Friday all was plain.

Give God time, and even when the knife flashes in the air the ram will be seen caught in the thicket. Give God time, and even when Pharaoh's host is on Israel's heels, a path through the waters will be suddenly open. Give God time, and when the bed of the brook is dry, Elijah will hear the guiding voice." -- F. W. Boreham

Just think of it how God intervenes in our lives every day while we are taking advantage of it. Little things, we may miss them but God is working on our behalf all the time.

The Wise Little Bird

One day a naturalist was traveling through a forest in South America. (A naturalist is someone who studies birds, plants, and animals)

He sat down to eat his lunch and suddenly heard the cries of a bird; which was fluttering over a leafy spot. He figured that's where his nest must be. The bird was in great distress. The naturalist was curious to know what all this fuss was about, then he saw it, creeping slowly along towards the tree he saw one of the most venomous snakes in South America. The Small glittering eyes were fixed on the birds nest, and his forked tongue darted quickly out and in as though anticipating his prey.

Presently he saw an unusual thing take place, the bird flew quickly away hither and thither and though in search of something in a few moments he saw him return with a small twig covered with leaves in his beak. Perched near the nest he laid the twig carefully across it covering his mater and her young completely. The little father bird had been show by God what to do and he did it quickly without delay. Then taking his place on one of the top most branches of the tree he seemed to grow calmer and quieter and there awaited the approach of the enemy for he was sure the protection he had given the little family would work.

By this time the snake had reached the tree and bent upon his object he twisted himself around the trunk and began climbing up, up, up. Then gliding along a branch he came close to the nest. He lifted his venomous head ready to dart upon the pour bird. His small glittering eyes watched the nest a moment and then -- throwing his head back as if he had received a sudden blow. He turned around and as fast as possible made his way back down the tree and disappeared in the tall grass.

You can imagine how curious the naturalist felt as to the cause of this, he could not understand why the snake had turned back from his prey at the very moment it seemed in his power, nor could he understand the quietness of the father bird who until his enemy departed showed no sign of a motion and now sang a song, a rapturous song of praises!

He climbed up the tree and examined the little broken brand the leave of which were curious in shape and color. He carried it home and told the whole story to a friend showing him the brand. The native friend explained that the leaf plucked off by the father bird to protect his family was poisonous to the snake. The snakes never touches this leaf.

Just like the little bird we too have an enemy the old devil Satan or the serpent. Rev. 20:2
We were all born in sin without doing something about this we Will die eventually, but God has provided a way Psalm 32:1

But the blood of Jesus Christ God's song cleaneth us from all sin. John 3:16

Even though this is all provided for us it will do us no good if we don't make use of it.

Just like the little bird went and got the leaf so are you and me nest by faith receive this forgiveness as protection.

Just like the little bird applied that protection and because it worked went and sang a song of rapturous song of praises.

When we pray by Faith is is like that little birth putting that leaf over his mate and family. The leaf was poisonous to the snake just like the faith of God is poisonous to our enemy the devil

Keep praying for our families.
